Ohio DE lands three offers

West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West defensive end Solomon Thomas has picked up three handwritten offers from the Big Ten, Big East and ACC. Who did the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder get the scholarships from and does he have any early favorites?
"I only would count the schools that have given him written offers and those are North Carolina State, Cincinnati and Illinois," said Lakota West head coach Larry Cox. "He's getting plenty of other interest from just about everybody including Louisville, Boston College, Indiana, Pittsburgh and others.

"I don't see any particular favorites at this time. Solomon is a young kid that is learning how to handle the recruiting process and he likes everybody he hears from. Right now he's like a kid in a candy store and he'll have to sort through it all to find the best fit."
Thomas was named first team all-Greater Miami conference, first team all-Cincinnati and first team all-county last season.
"He has a tremendous motor and plays with a lot of passion on the field," Cox said. "He has real long arms and is just an imposing figure. He still has plenty of room to grow too as his dad is 6-foot-6, 270-pounds.
"Solomon is a great kid as well that was elected team captain and is a very motivated individual. The only thing that is a problem for him may be his grades as he is just an average student and needs to focus on that more."
Thomas was registered nine sacks and 16 tackles for loss as a junior.
