Ohio DE decides to stay in-state

"He committed to Cincinnati," Portsmouth coach Curt Clifford said of his son, defensive end Tyler Clifford . "We went around the circuit to all of them. We went to Michigan, Ohio State, Marshall, Cincinnati, Ohio University, Akron, Kent, and Toledo."
"Ohio State was still in the picture, but he wanted to get it over with."

"There's a lot of excitement going on with the Cincinnati program with coach Dantonio coming in and the move to the Big East. And it's close to home."
The 6-foot-4 and 215 pound Tyler Clifford has been on the varsity since his freshman year. Clifford led his team in tackles during his junior season with 81 including seven sacks. He also has played tight end and fullback. Clifford is the number 31 overall prospect in the state of Ohio.
