Junior to Watch: Mike Phillips

Position: Defensive back
Size and speed: Phillips is 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds. He has been timed at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Phillips picked off three passes during his junior season and also started at quarterback. He has a 3.6 GPA.
Favorite Schools: Penn State, Iowa, Pitt, Miami of Ohio, Louisville, and Michigan.
Skinny: Phillips spent a lot of time during his junior year handing off to Ohio State signee Maurice Clarett. But Phillips was also very impressive playing in the defensive secondary.
"I'm interested in Penn State, Iowa, Pitt, Miami of Ohio, Louisville, and Michigan," Phillips said. "That's basically it."
"The schools that have offered me are Iowa, Miami of Ohio, Pitt, and Louisville. I don't have a favorite."
