Ohio DB Arquon Bush catching fire

One of the hottest names in the state of Ohio heading into the summer was almost completely off-the-radar entering the Spring Evaluation Period. Euclid cornerback Arquon Bush has quickly picked up offers from the Big Ten and SEC and may not take long making his final selection.

THE LATEST

The first offers for Bush just came through in early May from Michigan State and Rutgers, but more teams were quickly added to the list. Cincinnati, Kentucky and Purdue have since offered and they, along with the Spartans, are definitely strong contenders here. Boston College is showing strong interest and could be close to offering and Ohio State wants Bush to come down and camp later this month.

QUOTABLE

“The kid is your prototypical corner. He’s 6-foot with long arms, very athletic and as a bonus he is incredible in the return game. He’s just a great athlete.” – Euclid head coach Jeff Rotsky

RIVALS’ REACTION

In today’s era of college football recruiting, Bush is a late-bloomer considering his recruitment did not really kick off until the spring. He is apparently a very decisive kid as well because his head coach expects a decision on his college future comes down before the end of the summer. No visits or camps have been scheduled yet, but Bush is expected to start traveling soon and the Ohio State camp is likely. A tall cornerback with strong athleticism marks is going to generate interest and his recent offers are likely just the beginning.
