Lexington, Ohio, cornerback Courtney Avery has seen the recruiting calendar pick up for him as college coaches around the nation turn their attention to the 2010 class.
"Everything is going good," the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Avery said. "I am going to Cincinnati this weekend for their junior day. I already went to Ohio State's junior day. I am going to try to get to Indiana's junior day and maybe go down to Vanderbilt for theirs."
When it comes to which schools have extended offers, Avery says he isn't the one to talk to.

"My coach takes care of the offers for me," he said. "A lot of MAC schools have offered I know, but he is taking care of that so I don't have to be worrying about it all the time. I'm going to sit down with him and see what is the latest before long. I don't have a favorite school at this time."
Avery has a few things in mind as he looks for a college home.
"I want to find a school with a nice environment. I need to have a good relationship with the coaches and I want to get a great education. I am thinking about pre-med at this time.
"I don't know when I'll try to make a decision. Probably just whenever I get everybody that I can compare them and see what is the best for me."
As a junior, Avery earned first-team all-Ohio honors as a cornerback.
