"I plan to go to Oklahoma Saturday, and then I plan to go to Texas," O'Grady said. "I'm not sure when, but I'm going to do that soon."
The three programs have been showing the most interest and right now sit at the top of his list of favorites.
"Right now I'm looking for a school that's going to be closer to Arkansas so I can visit my mom," O'Grady said. "Right now, I'm liking Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. That's my top three right now."
When it comes to making a decision, location is an important factor, but it is not the only factor.
"Obviously academics, because football is not always going to be there, and I'm going to have to have a back-up plan," O'Grady said. "Also somewhere close because I want to be able to see my mom when I have a chance to and I don't want to have to fly or make a long drive. Also I'm looking for a school that is going to utilize the tight end for more than blocking."
Is there a timetable for the decision making process?
"I was thinking towards the end of the summer," O'Grady said. "I want to get out and visit some more schools and see what they have to offer."
A few college programs have let O'Grady know they plan to stop by and visit him this spring. Texas and Notre Dame have both mentioned their plans, and even if f he does make a decision this spring, O'Grady admits he would like to take some official visits in the fall.
"Tennessee, Ole Miss," O'Grady said. "I want to try and get up to Oregon. They're asking me to come."
O'Grady is currently ranked No. 13 among the nation's tight ends and No. 7 in the Rivals.com Arkansas Preseason Top 10 for 2015.
