Oglesby heads West

Sugarland (Texas) Fort Bend Austin three-star running back Bryson Oglesby is headed to California. To be exact he is headed to Fresno, as he made the call Tuesday evening to be a Bulldog.
There were several reasons he chose the Fresno State program, but one stood above the rest.

"Their offense," Oglesby said. "I like the way their offense plays and I like their style of play. It's where I get to run the ball and catch the ball some."
The versatile running back also liked what he heard from the Bulldog coaching staff.
"The coaches make you feel like you're already a part of the team," Oglesby said. "You can just tell in the stuff they tell you that they care about you. Of course they care about you playing football for them, but they care about you more than just football."
Fresno State running backs coach Joe Wade was the lead recruiter for Oglesby, and the Houston-area standout is particularly looking forward to learning from his future coach.
"I'm just looking forward to getting to meet him and work under him," Oglesby said. "I mean he's coached players like Ryan Mathews and all that. It's an opportunity for me to do whatever it takes to play at the next level and just to play for them and excel at Fresno."
Oglesby chose the Fresno State over offers from Houston, Illinois, Indiana, and Toledo, and he admitted he grew up a fan of the Bulldogs.
He currently plans to take his official visit to Fresno after the season. He does not have any other official visits scheduled at this time.
Oglesby is currently ranked No. 11 among the nation's 2015 all-purpose running backs, and No. 67 in the Rivals.com Texas Preseason Top 100.
