Ogbonnaya keeping his coach busy

Houston (Texas) Strake Jesuit wide receiver Chris Ogbonnaya has kept his coach busy over the last few days.

“Chris is getting a lot of attention,” Strake Jesuit coach Ron Counter said. “There are all sorts of schools coming by here. Arizona State was just here. Texas and TCU were here yesterday and North Carolina was here on Monday. That was just this week.”
While the schools keep coming by the school, the scholarship offers have continued to come in.
“LSU, Texas and Stanford have officially offered him,” Counter said. “I’m sure there are more that have offered verbally, but those are the ones that I know of that have come in the mail.”
Even with scholarship offers on the table don’t expect an early decision from the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Ogbonnaya.
“He says he is going to listen to all of them. He wants to take his visits before he makes a decision. I think he’s trying to gather as much stuff as he can on all of the schools so he can make an informed decision.”
Counter knows he has a special player in Ogbannaya.
“He is a helluva player. He’s a special one. Schools know it and they are recruiting him hard.”
