OG Lawson earning interest

Colleges across the mid-Atlantic and southeast have taken an interest in Charlotte (N.C.) Charlotte Catholic offensive guard Henry Lawson. It's no surprise after a season in which the 6-foot-3, 275-pounder was named all-conference, second team all-region and all-state as a junior.
"Henry is getting a lot of interest from schools including Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech mostly," said Charlotte Catholic head coach James Oddo. "I don't think anyone leads at this time for him, but I believe he'll be one of those guys that will get early offers later this spring."

Lawson is a major reason for the fact that Charlotte Catholic hasn't lost a game in his high school career.
"He's started 32 consecutive games and a majority of the time we'll run right behind him," he said. "He's a big, strong kid that is still growing. What is great about him is that he is a true offensive lineman that comes off the ball well and gives you that push you need.
"Henry is very strong because he is a wrestler for us too. He has a winning record in his first on the wrestling team and he finished second or third in the conference. He is also a great young man to be around and a real good worker."
