Three-star offensive guard Bryce Kennedy has scheduled his first official visit. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder plans to head on the trip this weekend, but he is also working on more visits too.
"I went to an NC State game when they played South Alabama," he said. "It was good, it was crazy and my first college game. It's way different from high school. I talked to the coaches after the game and I told them I'd go ahead and set up an official visit for this weekend."
While NC State is in line to get a visit in a few days the Southern Pines (N.C.) Pinecrest lineman is looking towards another trip too.
"Right now I just have NC State scheduled, but I'll probably go to North Carolina next week and then set up my official visit later when I talk to the coaches up there."
The No. 25 offensive guard in the nation isn't certain how many official visits he'll take. However, he does have a top group at this time.
"Those two schools, NC State and North Carolina are in my top along with South Carolina," he said. "Those are the schools I've been to the most and I'm familiar with."
On the field, Kennedy is having a strong season.
"The season is going pretty well," he said. "We lost a couple games to turnovers and fumbles, but the team is doing pretty well.
"I'm doing well too. I'm firing off the ball and I'm way better than last year. I think it's a process where more practice makes you better. I know I'm faster and I can read defenses way better than last year, it's little things like that."
