"I committed to Coach Withers and Pittman," he said. "The coaches were really happy.
"Coach Withers about jumped in my arms and Coach Pittman and the other coaches ran up to me and gave me a hug. They told me that they are done recruiting now that I have verbally committed."

So, what made Kennedy pick the Tar Heels?
"I picked North Carolina because it was the best fit for me," he said. "The campus, the education and everything.
"The coaches are all really cool guys and they know what they are talking about. North Carolina to me just feels like a home away from home."
Overall, Kennedy is thrilled with his selection.
"I am proud of my decision," he said. "I plan on giving it my all to be the best player that I can be at Carolina."
