OG Dukeman is gaining interest

Haymarket (Va.) Battlefield junior offensive guard Brandon Dukeman is just beginning to pick up interest. The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder is getting looks from a handful of schools to date.
"I do have interest, Richmond, Old Dominion, James Madison and NC State have been in contact," he said. "NC State said they liked me at guard or center, but that's all I know right now."

Does Dukeman like anyone?
"I don't have a favorite school," he said. "I like watching a lot of college football.
"I can say I have taken unofficial visits to Richmond, Old Dominion and James Madison. Old Dominion was great. They treated me really well and I got to watch one of their practices. James Madison was nice too and Richmond."
With interest just starting, what does Dukeman want in a college?
"I think I want a good student population," he said. "I want somewhere with enough people to have a lot of people around, a good game day campus and good academics. My parents would like me to be close to home."
On the field, the lineman had a solid year earning first team all-district both ways, first team all-region and first team all-metro.
"This year was actually pretty good for me," he said. "Our team advanced into the state semifinals again and my coaches relied on me on the left side of the line to create some holes. I did pretty well and played well on defense shutting down the run. I also had four sacks."
Certainly talented, what sticks out about Dukeman?
"You know, I like to think I'm pretty quick off the ball," he said. "I'm not huge, but that works to my advantage with stretch blocking and I'm good at creating holes."
