OG Arndt starts to receive interest

Weddington, N.C. offensive guard Mike Arndt moved recently down to the Tar Heel state after living in Illinois most of his life. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder has begun to receive college interest, but how will that situation affect his future?
"I'm getting mail from North Carolina State, Appalachian State and other schools in the area," he said. "I grew up a big fan of Illinois since my dad went there. I moved down here during my sophomore year, but I still like their program a lot and they are looking better with Ron Zook. If Illinois came around I would probably like that a lot."

What is Arndt looking for out of a college?
"I really want to go somewhere for my academics as I'm looking to go into business," he said. "I also want a good coaching staff and a nice atmosphere to be around."
As a junior, Arndt was named all-county, all-conference and all-state.
"I think I have very good speed for a bigger guy and I really play hard on every down. That's what I feel really makes me stand out. I give 110%."
This spring Arndt plans to take part in the Clemson Nike Camp and the Shrine Bowl Combine.
