Ofili makes up his mind

Roswell (N.M.) New Mexico Military Institute defensive tackle Charles Ofili was slated to visit New Mexico State this weekend, but didn't because he had already decided to make up his mind.
"I went on a visit to UTEP two weeks ago, and I decided to go ahead and commit to UTEP this past Friday," Ofili, a Texas native, said

"Mike Price came up here to see my school. He asked me if I had made my mind up. I told them I was joining their team and I was going to be a Miner."
Ofili said the UTEP coach was very pleased with the decision.
"He was happy," Ofili said. "He told me that's great and he's happy to have me."
So why is he heading to UTEP?
"I feel that I can go and compete at UTEP for a starting position next year," he said. "They're also a Texas school. And it's not too far away from home. It's in the same area as where I am for my junior college, so it's not too much further."
Ofili said his family is pleased with the pick.
"They're very excited about me furthering my education at the D-I level," he said.
Ofili also had an offer from New Mexico and was also getting interest from Baylor.
