Official visit set, decision coming for R100 DE Dalton

The end is in sight for Rivals100 defensive end Jalen Dalton. The Clemmons (N.C.) Wet Forsyth star knows his finalists and will be ready to commit in mid-September.
"Miami, North Carolina and Virginia Tech are my final three," said the 6-foot-6, 220-pound Dalton. "I'm taking the SATs on September 13 and I'll probably decide after I get the scores back."

Many people believe the Tar Heels are the favorite to land Dalton and when asked if that was true Dalton replied, "possibly."
Dalton was back in Chapel Hill recently and he brought his mother along with him.
"It her first time visiting there so they showed her the academic presentation and we sat down with one of the academic advisors," he said. "She definitely enjoyed it. That was only the second school she has visited. She went up to Virginia Tech before."
Dalton has one official visit set right now and could be scheduling another.
"I think I set my official visit to Miami for October 31," Dalton said. "I probably talk to those coaches every single day. We have a good relationship.
"I'll probably get up to Virginia for a game, possibly an official visit," he said. "Right now I'm just focused on high school football."
Last season Dalton helped lead West Forsyth to the third round of state playoffs and a 12-2 record.
