Officer doubles offers

Offensive guard Alexander Officer out of Rochester (N.Y.) Eastridge Senior continues to add offers. The lineman is up to 10 scholarships to date and is starting to eye summer trips.
"Recruiting is going well," he said. "I've got a few more offers, I'm up to 10 now.
"I've gotten Buffalo, Boston College, Purdue and Rutgers recently along with a I-AA offer."

Officer is pleased to get the opportunities.
"I like all these schools, but I don't have any early favorites," he said. "I want to take a couple visits and find out where I'm most comfortable."
Officer is starting to contemplate trips.
"I'm going to take some visits," he said. "I know Rutgers and I want to see how I fit in there. I'm going to make my camp schedule.
"I've met with the coaches from Stanford. They actually came by my school. I also met with the coaches from Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Maryland. They all want me to come down to their camps to see me in person and see how I'd fit with them. They just want to take a deeper look at me."
With trips certainly coming up, does Officer want to see anything on these visits?
"I want to get a good feel of where the school is and make sure I meet all the people around the coaching staff for where I'll be the next few years. I want a good feel for them."
