Offers trickling in for White

ORLANDO, Fla. - Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee senior linebacker Darius White was jubilant after his squad's 40-0 victory over Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast in the Class 7A State Championship.
"It is great, well deserved," White said. "We worked hard and we came out with a victory. It is a great feeling."

With the season now concluded for the 6-foot-1, 230-pound defender, his focus will turn to recruiting.
"I am going to take visits in January," White said. "I have offers from FAU, FIU, Western Kentucky, and UCF right about now. I am planning to visit some of them in January."
White just recently picked up offers from Florida Atlantic and Central Florida.
"I heard from them earlier this week," White said of FAU. "They said they like what they see on film and hope that I can come up for a visit."
"I got that last week as well," White said of UCF. "I haven't really talked to them yet."
White's recruitment was slowed by academic concerns. He says that he has made strides in the classroom. With his academic progress he believes other schools are on the verge of offering.
"I think some schools are going to come calling," White said. "I have heard from Iowa State and Mississippi State."
At this stage of the process, the three-star outside linebacker doesn't claim a favorite.
"Right about now they are all at the same level," White said. "I want somewhere that I can go to and play at. I want good academics, good facilities, and a place that I can enjoy living at the next few years."
White has yet to schedule any specific dates for his visits.
