Offers still coming for Roberts

It's really nothing shocking that Lufkin, Texas outside linebacker Mandela Roberts and his teammates are moving their way through the playoffs swiftly for another year. However, with so many Division I prospects like Roberts and Leonard Hewitt, recruiting is still on the minds of each highly-touted player.
Roberts, a 6-foot, 220-pound defender, has had a very successful recruiting process with offers in hand from Houston, Indiana, Stephen F. Austin, and UTEP. However, new programs seem to be getting more and more interested.

"I think Oklahoma is getting interested now," Roberts said. "All of a sudden, a lot of mail has been coming. Oklahoma State is really talking about offering, but I think they are trying to wait until after the season to check out my stats."
There is still a favorite, but Roberts understands he may have to wait.
"I really want to go to LSU," Roberts said. "I just really don't know what's going to happen with that. E.J. Shankle and all of us are still planning on going together and that's why E.J. didn't commit to Texas A&M."
Two official visits are getting set up to Indiana and Oklahoma. Right now, Roberts is focusing on the playoffs.
"Whenever the last game is, hopefully that's the championship game, I'll decide," Roberts said.
