Offers start up for Hubbard

Offers have picked up for wide receiver Kyle Hubbard out of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward. The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder is up to approximately seven scholarships.
"I started picking up the offers in the last couple weeks starting with Kent State," he said. "Since then I've gotten offers from Toledo, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Kentucky and a couple more.

"Of the offers I'd probably say Kentucky leads. I went down there once before and I like the area a lot. It is also neat to see how the whole town is about Kentucky. They have a solid football team and good fans too."
The Buckeye State receiver believes a few more offers could be coming soon.
"It looks like Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Syracuse and a few others might be offering," he said. "A lot of the schools have told me they are finishing up road trips and then they'll start really evaluating players more by camp time."
At the moment a few schools stand out to Hubbard.
"I'd say Miami, Ohio State, Kentucky, Michigan and Syracuse are probably my leaders," he stated. "They all pretty much have good traditions. I grew up watching them play football too, especially Miami and Ohio State."
Is Hubbard looking for anything else out of a school?
"Pretty much I just want to feel like I'm at home wherever I end up," he said. "I don't think location is a huge factor as long as it's not too far away from my parents, but if it's a real good school then I can go. In relation to the team, I want to be able to have a good bond with the players and coaches. I'd like to get a shot to contribute pretty early if I can also."
The all-conference, all-district and all-county prospect plans to attend camps at Ohio State and Syracuse this summer.
Last season Hubbard hauled in 58 receptions for 800 yards and six touchdowns.
