Offers start up for 2011 NC backer
Offers are beginning to roll for Greenville (N.C.) South Central linebacker Montese Overton. The 6-foot-3, 196-pounder claims three scholarships at this time and plenty more are expected on the horizon.
"I have offers from East Carolina, North Caroilna and Notre Dame," he said. "A lot of other schools have mentioned verbals and shown interest including UCLA, Oregon, NC State, Alabama and South Carolina."

Overton is just overwhelmed by the scholarships that have come in.
"It's kind of a dream come true," he said. "I've always hoped I'd get mail and it's a really good feeling that schools want me to go to their team."
Does the linebacker like anybody to date?
"My favorite team is Texas because of their defense, it's crazy," he said. "Their style of play and coaches are great."
An all-county and all-state honoree as a junior, Overton is also a talented track athlete and basketball player.
