Offers rolling in for Lorig

Rolling Hills (Calif.) Peninsula athlete Erik Lorig is on a very nice roll on the recruiting front right now and is up eight scholarship offers from some big time programs out West and in the Midwest.
Lorig, 6-4, 255 pounds is a standout tight end and defensive end and will get looks on both sides of the ball although his preference is tight end. He was his league's Player of the Year as well as first team all-state Underclass last year after totaling 129 tackles on defense to go along with 15 catches for 300 yards at tight end.

Since May 1, Lorig has received calls from most of the Pac 10 and has a solid top five right now.
"I have offers in writing from Arizona, Arizona State, San Diego State, Cal, UCLA, Washington, Notre Dame and Michigan," Lorig said. "I'm also hearing a lot from Virginia, USC and Oregon. Cal is my top school right now followed by USC, Michigan, UCLA and Virginia. I attended Junior Days at USC and UCLA and also went to USC's skills camp. I'll be going to the Nike Camp at Stanford but I'm not sure about the rest of my summer camp plans."
Academically, Lorig is carrying a 3.7 GPA and scored a 1030 on the SAT. He'll retake the test again in June.
