Offers roll for VA end

Recruiting is winding down for most recruits, but for Fairfax (Va.) Robinson defensive end Jordan Stanton it's just picking up. The 6-foot-4, 236-pounder claims two more scholarships in the past day and has an official visit scheduled this weekend.
"I got a written offer from Boston College and Maryland yesterday," he said. "Virginia Tech is still coming tomorrow, but we had snow and freezing rain, so I don't know if we'll have school and if I'll see them."

Has Stanton scheduled an official for this weekend to either school?
"I'm going to Boston College this weekend," he said. "After that I'm going to sit down with my coach, Coach Bendorf and my family and come to a decision on Monday."
Is Stanton down to two schools?
"I am considering all of them," he said. "No one is out of the picture. James Madison and Old Dominion are still in there too.
"I just have to find my home for the next few years."
Stanton touched on the offers.
"I'm excited to find out more about both schools," he said. "I've never been to Boston before, so we'll see how it is.
"I do know both Maryland and Boston College are big schools that love to compete. The fact they are in the ACC is a big deal. I'm grateful for them seeing that I have the talent to be a great fit for their teams.
"As for Maryland specifically, they've been evaluating me, but they weren't sure if they'd have a scholarship left. In the end, they did have one for me."
