Offers roll for Keystone CB

Pennsburg (Pa.) Perkiomen School cornerback Abdul Smith continues to add offers. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has compiled over a half dozen offers including a huge one from the Big Ten.
"I got an offer from Penn State," he said. "That is big. That's the biggest offer I've gotten so far.

"I went up there for junior day back on April 5th. I met with Coach McQueary and he told me he was thinking about offering me in the next couple weeks. He told me last week he sent it in the mail."
Smith discussed his visit to Penn State a bit more.
"They are always on TV locally," he said. "When I went up there I saw the second biggest stadium in college football. It's huge with a lot of fans. They send their corners to the NFL and they have a legendary coach."
The Keystone State prospect plans to head back to State College on May 10th for the Penn State Nike Camp. He mentioned he may head out early to check out the campus more.
Penn State isn't the only offer to come in recently.
"I also picked up Florida International, Cincinnati and Akron," he said. "I have offers from Colorado, Maryland, Syracuse and Temple too.
"I think Illinois is pretty close. They keep requesting film. Wisconsin and South Carolina are close also."
Currently Penn State appears to have an early lead.
"Penn State is obviously up there," he said. "They'll probably be an official visit. They are a top five school for me. I like West Virginia and Illinois too. They both are good programs. Right now I don't have any favorites though. I'm looking at everybody."
