Offers roll for 2011 sleeper lineman

Offers have picked up in recent weeks for lineman Jasper Coleman out of Midlothian (Va.) James River. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder holds four scholarships including one from the ACC.
"I've got offers from Maryland, Marshall, Towson and Bryant," he said. "They are all pretty recent. I got the paper from Towson in the mail last week. Everybody else has told me they are sending it, but I haven't gotten them in the mail."

Maryland of course is the biggest scholarship from the ACC as it came two weeks ago.
"They're a really big college," he said. "They are bigger than all the others. I know they also have an animal science program I'm really interested in.
"I can say they're pretty high on my list, but I'm just waiting to see what happens right now."
Coleman is receiving interest from other teams including Ohio, Northwestern, Virginia and Boston College.
Already this season, Coleman visited two schools.
"I went to Maryland and I've visited Marshall," he said. "They were both really good.
"Towson and Marshall have talked to my mom about official visits too."
Interest is developing quickly for the lineman, what does he want in a school?
"I want a decent football team and education is a big part too. I have a 3.7 GPA and I'm looking at somewhere with animal science, veterinary science or biology. I would like somewhere close too."
Colleges have been wowed by the lineman's video and he broke down what stands out about him.
"People tell me I'm very explosive and have very good hips," he said. "I did see a big improvement this season playing both ways. I started to understand things better and I was taking on blocks more."
