Offers piling up for Trumbetti

Defensive end Andrew Trumbetti of Demarest, N.J. came into his junior season with a number of expectations, and he did not disappoint. Along the way the offers have continued to come in for Trumbetti, as he looks forward to a couple of possible upcoming visits.
"Recruiting has been pretty good," said Trumbetti, who is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. "I'm actually not sure how many offers I'm up to now."

Some of Trumbetti's original offers came from schools like Notre Dame, Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College and Virginia, and he did remember that his two newest offers arrived in recent weeks from Connecticut and Michigan State.
Trumbetti does not have any visits scheduled at this time, but when the opportunity arises he mentioned that he would like to take visits to Notre Dame, which he took a visit to last summer, Stanford and Alabama. The Cardinal and Crimson Tide have yet to offer, but Trumbetti is optimistic that this will change in the near future.
When it comes time to make a final decision, he will be looking for a few specific things.
"I'm looking for good coaches, good players, a good school and somewhere I feel like I'm at home," he said.
On the field last fall, Trumbetti experienced a mixed bag of results.
"Unfortunately the team wasn't very good, but I thought I did well," he said. "I know I had 12 sacks. I feel like every part of my game improved, to be honest."
This off-season, Trumbetti will focus his time in hopes of taking his game to the next level.
"I would like to work on everything, like my speed, my strength, the mental part of my game and becoming a better teammate," he said.
