Offers piling up for D.C. junior

Hard work continues to pay off for Washington (D.C.) Dunbar offensive lineman Derwin Gray. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Gray has added two more schools to his already impressive list of scholarship offers.
"I received an offer from Ohio State and Nebraska," said Gray. "I got the one from Nebraska two weeks ago and the Ohio State one last Wednesday. I talked to Urban Meyer and he thinks I could play offensive or defensive line for them and really likes my athleticism. I haven't really talked with the Nebraska coaching staff very much. I'm going to give them a call and try to get some more information."

Ohio State and Nebraska join a long list of schools that continue to show serious interest.
"Auburn, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and Maryland are still coming after me pretty hard," said Gray. "They've all been sending me a lot of mail, emails and Facebook messages, and things like that.
Gray talked about the role combines play in his recruitment and his plans to visit a few schools.
"The combines really give me a chance to show college coaches the potential I have," said Gray. "It gives them a chance to see how good my footwork is. In late March I'm taking a visit to University of Florida and University of Miami."
