Offers piling up for 2015 QB

MORE: 2015 ATH Stewart getting new SEC interest
While the class of 2014 prepares for National Signing Day, elite talent has already surfaced in the 2015 class. Three-star quarterback Dwayne Lawson of Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough has been reeling in the offers recently and has firmly established himself as a player to watch for next year.

"I haven't really talked to anyone during the dead period, but before that it really hit off for me," said Lawson, who is 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds.
Lawson already had offers from Florida, South Florida and Indiana heading into his junior season, but since then has added new ones from Florida State, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, Mississippi State, Central Florida, Louisville and Appalachian State. He is also claiming serious interest from Georgia.
"I don't want to say that I knew it was going to happen, but I've always been driven for this type of success," Lawson said. "I want it too bad."
Lawson did not take any visits during the fall, but plans to check out Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Florida State and Central Florida in the coming months.
He also plans to attend the Elite 11 Camp, plus a few college camps that he has yet to select.
"I don't feel I need to prove anything at the camps," Lawson said. "I just want to soak in everything I can and get better."
While it is still early in his recruiting process, Lawson did mention that all of the Florida schools and Tennessee are the ones currently standing out. He also plans to wait until National Signing Day next year to make his final decision.
On the field for his junior season, Lawson saw success both for him and his team.
"We finished 7-3, but we had a strong season," he said. "We had two district losses, but we have a lot to build on. I had 2,200 passing yards, 1,000 rushing, 31 total touchdowns, six interceptions and nine rushing touchdowns. I still want to improve the consistency in my throwing motion and my completion percentage."
