Offers piling up for 2015 DB Turner

MORE: Is Virginia gaining momentum with Nnadi?
AJ Turner is one of those recruits that has been quietly been blowing up over the past few months. The junior defensive back out of Clifton (Va.) Centreville has six offers from some pretty big time schools.

"The recruiting process is starting to pick up now that the season is over," the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Turner said. "I have offers from South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Old Dominion and Pittsburgh."
While the offers start to pour in, Turner is taking his time.
"I really do not know much about these schools," he said. "I visited South Carolina and Virginia Tech, but I just went on a tour. I didn't know I had these offers until my coaches told me. I'm always the last one to know."
Virginia is the most recent to offer Turner.
"One reason I like them is because they are in need of playmakers and I feel like maybe if I went there I could have an impact," Turner said. "I've all been to UVA for the state championship game, but that's it."
Some other national powerhouse programs are showing interest in Turner.
"Ohio State, LSU and Missouri are sending me mail," he said. "I don't know much about them. Right now I'm most familiar with Florida State, Florida and those schools."
Turner grew up in Florida but moved to Virginia right before high school.
