Offers piling up for 2014 ATH Hester

Offers continue to mount for one of the top prospects in New Jersey for 2014. Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic athlete Kiy Hester is on the brink of double-digit offers with a pair of traditional powers entering the fray recently.
"I've got offers from Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College, Connecticut, Miami and Michigan.

"I got Miami and Michigan recently, in the past few weeks. I'm supposed to be taking a trip to both in the next two weeks."
Hester discussed the two big offers.
"I like them," he said. "Obviously I've seen them play on TV. I'm not really sure what position they are recruiting me for. Most schools are looking at me at defensive back."
Hester may not know too much with regards to those two schools, but did visit one other in UCLA not too long ago.
"I was at the UCLA quarterback camp and mainly played wide receiver," he said. "I talked to the offensive coordinator and he liked me a lot. I gave him my film the other day and they plan to watch it and get back to me."
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder is considering trips to Maryland and Rutgers before the end of the summer.
But, does he like anyone?
"I'm not sure yet," he said. "I'm just getting a feel for everything, getting used to recruiting. I'm visiting a lot of schools and I'll probably have a better idea towards the end of my junior year."
With many more visits coming, what does Hester want in a college?
"My coach has told me you can't choose a school based on the coaches cause you never know where the coaches will end up," he said. "I'm just trying to find somewhere I'll be comfortable for four years. I want a place I could see myself at with coaches I like. I'm trying to play right away and get on the field."
Hester posted approximately 500-yards on 35 receptions and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. He added 40 tackles and three interceptions on defense.
