Offers pile up for Moton

It has been quite a spring for Shreveport (La.) Calvary Academy 2015 defensive tackle T.D. Moton as the recruiting process has gotten off to a quick start.
In the past few days alone the 6-4 310-pound defender has received scholarship offers from Florida State and Texas A&M who join Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Baylor, and Houston to bring his offer total to seven.

The attention has been nice and Moton is sitting back and taking it all in.
"It feels good. I'm excited about all the schools who have offered me," Moton said. "I have a lot of ACC schools on me so far. Florida State has offered me. It just feels good to have all this attention before my junior year."
After a standout sophomore season, Moton thought attention would come, but he has been a little surprised it has come so soon.
"I thought it was going to come more my junior year, but it's come my sophomore year," Moton said. "It's real exciting."
When it comes to his options, Moton is not naming favorites at this early point in the process. Each of the schools who have offered are on even footing, and this summer he plans to visit a few of them.
"I'm going to get out to Texas A&M's camp, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss…maybe Georgia and Florida State," Moton said. "I'm going to go out there (LSU) in July."
In addition to the college camps and preparing for the 2013 season, Moton will also make the trip to DeSoto, Texas just south of Dallas to take part in the Rivals.com Underclassmen Challenge on July 7.
"I got invited and already filled out the forms and sent them in," Moton said. "I'm looking forward to going against some of the top o-linemen in the country and all that. I didn't know you'd get free gloves and all that, so I like that."
