Offers pick up for Rivals100 WR Sales

Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers was home to Rivals100 quarterback Mike Paulus last year. The program has another early 2008 Rivals100 member to watch in 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver Marcus Sales.
"Marcus already has offers from Miami, North Carolina, Virginia, Syracuse, Louisville and Pittsburgh," Christian Brothers head coach Joe Casamento said. "We haven't sent out any film yet, but once we do he'll have as many offers as he wants.

"I know a lot of schools are going off of film from Mike last year. Most are still waiting to get to know him more. Schools like Iowa, Ohio State, Rutgers and others are asking for tape."
Does the talented wideout have any leaders?
"I don't think so," he said. "Everything has happened so fast, I think he's just happy to get looks. He may be interested in going south a bit, but we'll have to see how everything works out."
Casamento went on to discuss what stands out about his star prospect.
"He's a difference maker," he said. "Marcus is a big-time player with tremendous ball skills and a great body. He's a very smooth player; it almost looks effortless watching him run. He's just gliding.
"As a person, he's very quiet and low key. He's a pleasant person to be around and has handled the notoriety better than many others. He's also a good student."
Sales registered 33 receptions for 600 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
