Offers pick up for OT Blaser

Offers are mounting for Charlotte (N.C.) South Mecklenbur offensive tackle Casey Blaser. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder is now up to four scholarships.
"I've got four offers from Duke, Ball State, East Carolina and Marshall," he said. "Ball State offered during spring break, Duke was a couple weeks after, then Marshall a couple weeks later and East Carolina on Sunday.

"I think they are all good offers and good schools too. I've just got to find what fits me best."
Blaser has visited a pair of the offers, Ball State and Duke.
"I visited Ball State when they offered and Duke, those are two different schools, both of them have their own unique things and I do like both of the schools."
Interest is picking up for the lineman from the likes of South Carolina, North Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
Does he like anybody?
"Well, I mean, one school since I was little I liked was Ohio State," he said. "Ohio State was pretty nice and I went to their camp on Sunday. They had a pretty nice practice and facility."
Blaser plans to head to more camps soon.
"Later this week on Wednesday through Saturday I have four camps, South Carolina, North Carolina, NC State and then Duke," he said. "I know I'll be visiting Georgia Tech too."
With visits coming to numerous schools, Blaser broke down what he hopes to see.
"I just have to say the top things I'm looking for are nice facilities, a nice campus and then I want to enjoy the coaching staff. I want to have a connection with them," he said. "Then, academics play a role also. I would also like to play in front of a sold out crowd every weekend."
Blaser earned all-county and all-conference as a junior this past season.
