Offers pick up for DB Bridges

Safety Mark Bridges out of Matthews (N.C.) Butler is piling up a few scholarships this summer. What's the latest with the 5-foot-11, 186-pounder?
"It's going really great," he said. "I've picked up a few more offers, I got ones from Towson and Presbyterian. I've had East Carolina, Central Michigan and a verbal from Cincinnati.

"The coaches from Cincinnati moved, so the new ones are trying to evaluate me and want to see my first few games of my senior season, then we'll see where it goes from there."
Bridges has taken a few visits this summer including a trip this past Sunday to Wake Forest.
"I think that went very well," he said. "I talked to the defensive back coach and he wants me to get back with him.
"It was about the same at the other camps, NC State, North Carolina, Auburn and Kentucky. They all said they'll have a meeting and look at their recruiting boards. I need to call them back, but I haven't called yet."
With numerous visits under his belt, does the two-star prospect like anybody?
"I really liked the camps I've been to at Auburn, NC State and Kentucky," he said. "It was my third time visiting Auburn and I've been there the most times out of any college. I like the campus and atmosphere, plus it's in the SEC.
"Kentucky is in the SEC too. I love the SEC as a whole. NC State is in the ACC and I like them a lot too. Coach Bridge and the coaches there are in contact with me a lot. I get a lot of written mail from State."
Bridges maintains he is done with visits right for now and is focusing his attention on taking official visits this fall.
