Offers mount for CB Walker

Offers are rolling for Hampton (Va.) Bethel cornerback Rijo Walker. The 5-foot-10, 171-pounder is up to three scholarships to date, pulling his latest from the SEC on Monday.
"I have three offers from NC State, East Carolina and South Carolina," he said. "South Carolina came on Monday. They are in a good conference in the SEC, maybe the best in the nation.

"I liked the way they followed up with me. They saw me workout and came back with the offer. I plan to go up there next month for camp."
Walker is hearing from a number of other schools as well.
"The top two others I'm hearing from are Duke and Virginia. I think Duke is the next closest to offer," he said. "I'm hearing from Tennessee and Virginia Tech too.
"I plan to camp at Virginia, Duke, Maryland, Tennessee and perhaps Virginia Tech. I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling this summer."
At this time, the three-star prospect claims one school may stick out.
"I'd have to say my favorite right now is Virginia," he said. "I just like how the campus is and the overall feeling there. I got to talk to the coaches and be on the practice field. I could see myself playing at Virginia. I went to their spring practice a few weeks ago. They impressed me the most so far."
Walker maintains he's looking at everyone and touched on what he wants in a school.
"I'm looking for a place that at the end of the day I can get a diploma," he said. "I'm looking to study biology.
"Athletically I'm looking for a place I can make an impact on the team. Location doesn't really matter. My family is going to travel no matter where I go. I'd like to make it where it's not too hard for them."
