Offers mount for Carolina QB

Offers are mounting for Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly quarterback Desi Brown. The 6-foot-2, 189-pounder is up to four scholarships pulling in major offers from the Big East and SEC recently.
"I've got four offers from Wofford, ECU, Arkansas and Louisville," he said. "I haven't really gotten a chance to look at the offers much yet, so nothing really sticks out. I don't know enough about them."

Interest is rising from quite a few other teams as well.
"I did workouts recently for Maryland, Duke, Clemson, Virginia, Marshall and Wake Forest," he said. "I'd say right now I'm liking East Carolina a good bit. They have been known for having good quality quarterbacks."
What does Brown want in a team?
"Academics are important. I'm considering engineering as a major," he said. "I'd also like a good coaching staff. I'm still considering whether I want a bigger or smaller school."
As for visits, Brown hasn't set up anything to date.
"I haven't made plans, I do expect to at the end of this month to plan out my summer."
Brown's coach, Luke Little went on about his talented prospect.
"He's an athletic quarterback," he said. "Everybody that sees him throw really likes him. A lot of people want to see him at camp which I can understand and a lot of schools are saying he's on their top three on their board.
"He is a smart kid with over 1,000 on the SAT. His leadership and hard work stick out to me. He's always the first one on sprints and the kids follow him pretty well. A lot of people think he's an athlete, but once they see him throw they realize he's a quarterback."
