Offers keep coming for Jelks

Every time offensive tackle Andrew Jelks of Paris (Tenn.) Henry County tries to trim his list of potential schools, something keeps him from doing it.
"I'll get two or three more offers," Jelks said.

As of Wednesday, the 6-foot-6, 260 pounder has "16 or 17" of them. Stanford became the latest to pull the trigger on Tuesday.
"They'd been in contact with me for two months," Jelks said. "They talked about offering me, then it happened yesterday. Their offensive line coaches came down two weeks ago. They liked what they saw."
Jelks has been busy lately.
In the past week, he has visited Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
"They were all great visits," Jelks said. "Nothing but positives came from all of them. Next, I'll be taking a visit to Ole Miss on the 18th. The next weekend, I'll be heading to Alabama."
Where does Jelks currently stand?
"I don't have a leader right now," Jelks said. "These schools I'm taking visits to I really like. Stanford is another one of them. It's just a matter of if I can get there. I'm going to try to go out there in July. If I can't, then I'll take an official visit. This was like my fourth time to Tennessee and my sixth time to Vanderbilt. Every time I go, I'm getting more comfortable. I really like Mississippi State, too. When I took a visit there, I was surprised with everything they had."
For Jelks, picking one school admittedly won't be easy.
"I was talking to players and they said, 'I was right where you are and I didn't know what I was going to do,' " Jelks said. "They said, 'Give it time; you'll know what school is right for you.'"
