Offers keep coming for Gooden

The recruiting process continues to pick up for Pflugerville, Texas cornerback Zaviar Gooden since attending the NIKE Camp a few weekends ago.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder was offered first by Baylor, but since the camp appearance, has added more from Missouri and Oklahoma State. Gooden says that he has a few schools that have piqued his interest and also has summer plans to hit more camps this summer.

"I think that the offers from Oklahoma State and Mizzou were from seeing me at the camp," Gooden said. "I'm not sure about UTEP. I think I did pretty well there, but I can do better."
"Oklahoma State and Mizzou are standing out right now."
Gooden's athletic ability gives him options in terms of which position he'll play on the next level. He says that he's not only been hearing cornerback and safety, but also even receiver.
"I play receiver now and Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Missouri have all mentioned offense to me," Gooden said. "I guess academics is first then I'm looking for a good coaching staff and an upcoming program I can be a part of."
This summer, Gooden says he plans to go to LSU and Oklahoma State at least for summer camps. He says that there could even be more stops, but wants to take his time in regards to making a commitment.
"I'm hoping to hear from a lot of schools, but we'll see what happens," Gooden said. "I'm not planning on committing anywhere anytime soon."
