Greenville (N.C.) Rose running back Andre Brown keeps getting offers in the mail. The latest has him pretty excited.
"Nebraska offered me, which was really a surprise," said the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder. "I didn't know they'd be recruiting a running back this far away. It's a great school with a good running tradition, so I'm excited."
The Huskers are now added to a list that includes locals North Carolina, NC State, East Carolina, Duke, Virginia and Maryland. Does Brown have a favorite?
"No, it's too early for that," he said. "I like and respect the teams that have offered me and there are a few others I'm waiting on like Georgia, Miami and Notre Dame. If I had to name a top five, it would be Maryland, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Miami and Georgia. However, I'm still considering NC State, UNC and Virginia as well. I am keeping my options open."
Brown isn't sure where he'll camp this summer if at all.
"I have some nice offers, so I don't know if I need to camp," he said. "If I do, I'd like to go to schools I'm interested in that haven't offered me so I can prove myself."
