Offers keep coming for Alabama DE

Athens, Ala. defensive end William Ming is clearly one of the top defensive prospects in the state of Alabama but it is becoming clear that he may also be one of the top prospects nationally at his position. Ming has picked up three more big offers over the last week to add to his already long list.
Now, a list that includes Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn can also be amended to include Oklahoma, Ole Miss and LSU.

"Oklahoma offered me last Wednesday," Ming said. "I called Coach Wilson for Oklahoma and they said that they were offering me. Friday I talked to the D-Line coach at Ole Miss and Monday I talked to the tight end coach at LSU."
While many schools are looking at Ming as a defensive end, some schools, including LSU, are entertaining the option of playing him on the other side of the ball where he also stars at tight end.
"Coach Henson said that they're interested in me as a tight end but also the d-line coach likes me so I could play there too," he said.
Ming added that among his new offers, the Tigers were a team that caught his attention.
"Obviously LSU stands out because they're the defending national champs," he said. "Oklahoma also. Them and Auburn stand out because they have big traditions."
All of the early attention has caught Ming off guard to some degree and he has not begun to narrow down his choices yet.
"I pretty much just started thinking about schools," he said. "I'm still in the early phases. It's pretty amazing. I didn't expect for recruiting to pick up this fast. I thought it would come but not this early."
In hopes of helping him with his decision, Ming is hoping to get to as many junior days as he can and this weekend is no different. Though he won't be able to attend the Mississippi State Junior Day as he had originally hoped due to a baseball game on Saturday, he does hope to attend Tennessee's Junior Day on Sunday in Knoxville.
