Offers heat up for WR Butler

Offers are continuing to come in for Norcross, Ga. wide receiver Brice Butler. The 6-foot-2, 178-pounder claims approximately a dozen scholarships to date.
"Oh yeah, I've got offers from Oregon State, San Diego State, UCLA, Arizona State, California, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Washington State, Oregon State, LSU, Georgia Tech and there may be a few more. Papers have come in from most of them already."

While plenty of colleges are offering, a few are on the verge according to Butler.
"I think Southern Cal, Georgia, Michigan, Miami and Florida are close," he said. "I'm hearing a lot from them."
Do any of the colleges lead for the Peach State star?
"I like all the colleges that have interest in me," he said. "I'll take as much as I can get, I like to ball."
In the coming months, Butler plans to be very busy with unofficial visits.
"Between March and May I'm planning to visit Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, California, Southern Cal, UCLA, Oregon State and Oregon. I'm also heading to Hawaii for spring break.
"I really want to go and see how the different teams practice and tempos of the schools. I just want to go and see what they've got."
With so much interest, what is Butler looking for out of a college?
"Honestly I want to get a good education," he said. "I also want a team that will throw the ball a lot and give me a chance to play immediately. I've already heard that Oregon State, San Diego State, UCLA and Virginia Tech claim I can play early for them."
