Offers heat up for OT Stadnik

Greensboro (N.C.) Western Guilford 2012 offensive tackle Brock Stadnik's stock is rising. In recent days, the 6-foot-5, 285-pounder reports two big offers from the ACC and SEC.
"I just called Coach Durkin at Florida," he said. "He told me he saw my highlight tape online and that the whole coaching staff was very impressed. He hard I had fantastic grades and then said they were willing to offer me off of that.

"I was excited to hear about the news. I feel like it's definitely great news. It shows all my hard work in school, football and the weight room is paying off, it's just a great reward and I feel really special right now. It's a big milestone."
What does Stadnik know about the Gators?
"I know they have a great football tradition and they were SEC champions," he said. "I'm a Tim Tebow fan, so I like his style and the excitement he brought to the field. He's a great leader off and on the field, I admire all those things."
The offer puts Stadnik at seven scholarships after landing No. 6 yesterday as well from Clemson.
"I just got the Clemson offer too," he said. "Clemson is a really great school. I took a visit there earlier this summer and I liked what I saw. That's a very big offer. They have a lot of family atmosphere there and I got to see Howard's Rock."
Stadnik is reluctant to name favorites at this point even with the big offers in.
"It's kind of hard to think about favorites," he said. "Florida is fantastic, but I'm getting a lot of attention from many others."
