Offers for two from Mt. SAC

Many times D-I schools scour the JC level to pick up players who can come in and make an immediate impact and fix previous recruiting woes. There is an offensive lineman at Mount SAC that definitely fits the bill.
The player in question Darin Delone (6-5, 320, 5.0), he’s very athletic and aggressive.

“Not many players have the size and athleticism that Darin possesses,” Mt. SAC head coach Bill Fisk said. “He has great feet and is a devastating pass blocker. Darin is pretty good at run blocker too.”
“Darin gets a ton of phone calls from schools all across the country,” Fisk said. “Nebraska has put an offer on the table.”
Delone will graduate in May and have 3x2 eligibility.
There is another offensive lineman at Mt. SAC who is getting plenty of D-I play and he is Johnny Urrutia (6-4, 325, 5.2).
“Johnny is a big physical guard who will get a D-I scholarship,” Fisk said.
It looks like Fisk is right about Urrutia getting a D-I ride. UNLV has offered him a ride. “Kansas is showing a lot of interest,” Fisk said.
FSU, Oregon, Oregon State and San Diego State are also showing interest in Urrutia.
Like Delone, Urrutia is a May grad who has 3x2 years of eligibility.
Mt. SAC has a tradition of sending solid prospects to the D-I level. It looks like 2002 is will be no different.
