Offers flying in for Cushing

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic linebacker Brian Cushing is having a hard time keeping up with the number of offers he's getting in the mail.
"Notre Dame and Pitt just sent offer letters last week and I got one from Penn State yesterday," said the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder. "I don't really know how many I have right now, but it's a lot."

Cushing also doesn't really know what schools are his favorites.
"If I had to list six it would be Boston College, Stanford, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Southern Cal and Miami," he said. "OSU, Southern Cal and Miami haven't offered yet, but I'm hoping they will."
Michigan was once a leader for Cushing and he loved Ann Arbor on his unofficial visit last month. Are they still in the mix?
"They said they want to talk," he said. "They'll come around school in May, but they offered Jerome Hayes from New Jersey ahead of me so that tells me I'm not their top guy. I might have committed on my visit there if they had offered, but right now they're not one of my top schools."
The only camp Cushing knows he'll attend this summer is at Boston College. He will attend the NIKE Camp at State College, Pa. on May 15 (changed from Charlottesville camp recently) and will be at the Elite College Combine on May 5 at the New Jersey Meadowlands.
"I'm excited about both camps because it will put me against the best in my area," he said. "I want to show I'm the top linebacker in the region."
