Offers Flowing In For Virginias Top DE

Hampton (Va.) Bethel stud Chris Ellis is ranked as the top defensive end in the state of Virginia and the offers are starting to pile up.
“I received offers from Maryland, Indiana and North Carolina over the last few weeks,” said the 6-foot-5, 230-pound standout. “Those are in addition to my previous offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Pitt and some others.”

Ellis just returned from a four-day camp at Virginia where the Cavaliers “rolled out the red carpet for me.”
So does he still favor Virginia Tech as he stated previously.
“Not really,” he said. “They really turned me at Virginia. I’m torn between Virginia and Virginia Tech right now. They showed me a lot of good things at UVA and I spent most of the time with Mike London who would be my position coach.”
Ellis is also considering West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Pitt. He’ll be camping at UNC and attending a team camp at East Carolina.
“I’m not deciding anytime soon,” he said. “I’ll need to take some official visits and will probably decide in November or so.”
