Offers erupt for Rivals100 WR Tate

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha is loaded with talent in 2008. No player will be recruited at the school more than Rivals100 to watch wide receiver Kenny Tate. Based on the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder's offers already, he has caught the eye of almost every Division I program according to head coach Bill McGregor.
"Kenny is a great player and offers for him are coming from everyone in the country," he said. "He's a national type of recruit. Right now I know he's got offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Syracuse, Maryland and more. I'm not even sure how many offers he has anymore.

"I actually haven't had any time to sit down with him about favorites because he's been very busy with varsity basketball."
Obviously schools see talent in Tate, but what makes him stand out?
"He's a great player that knows how to make plays," he said. "He has a terrific attitude and work ethic and does everything you ask of him. As a receiver, he's got great hands, speed, size and toughness. He's everything you want in a 6-foot-4 wide receiver.
"Add to that, he's a great young man that is very coachable and a great character kid. He's humble, mild mannered and just a good boy."
