Offers continue for Watson after Elite

After an impressive showing at the Elite College Combine on May 1st, Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln wide receiver Lansford Watson improved his stock and continues to pile up the offers. The 6-foot-4, 217-pounder landed a handful of them in just the last few days according to Lincoln head coach Shawn O'Connor.
"He's got to be up to at least 15 offers now and just added ones in the last week from Miami, Florida State, Florida, Iowa and Purdue," he said. "I know he is excited to be offered by all three of the Florida schools and is looking forward to finding out more about them."

Currently Watson has no favorites, but he is receiving plenty of interest.
"It is still kind of early to have favorites, but we have had visits from tons of schools this month including Miami, UNC, FSU, Maryland, Iowa, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Michigan, Syracuse, Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Florida," he said. "Once we get through May we may be able to start narrowing it down to five to seven schools. Hopefully we can try to do that."
The New York receiver doesn't have any upcoming visits scheduled this summer, but he did just come away from trips to Rutgers and Maryland.
"He was very impressed with both of those schools and liked the visits a lot," he said. "At the moment we don't have any other visits or camps scheduled, but we definitely plan to schedule some soon."
Last season the Rivals100 wide receiver hauled in 51 receptions for 850 yards and 11 touchdowns. He finished the year by earning all-city and Brooklyn 44 honors.
"Lansford is a tremendous talent that is a big target," he stated. "He is a very physical receiver that gets off the jam and makes a lot of difficult catches other receivers don't. He is fast and continues to work on his speed training to get better at that aspect of his game."
