Four-star running back De'Antwan Williams out of Woodbridge (Va.) Woodbridge Senior is compiling offers. The 5-foot-7, 207-pounder acquired two more in recent weeks from the Big Ten and Big East.
"I got offers from Illinois and Pittsburgh," he said. "I think I'm up to 11 or so.
"I like both of them. I like Illinois playcalling and Pittsburgh runs the ball. I talked to both schools in the past couple days. The coaches at Pitt told me Coach Wannstedt saw five plays and wanted to offer me. They compare me to a mixture of Ricky Williams and Emmitt Smith.
"Illinois thinks I can be the next Rashard Mendenhall. They think I'm that type of back."
As summer is quickly approaching, Williams is making plans for visits.
"I'm going to Alabama probably on July 20th," he said. "I'm trying to go to Boston College and West Virginia sometime too. I may go to camps at Maryland and Alabama too."
Currently the Commonwealth prospect maintains no leaders.
"I'm just looking for playing time, my jersey number, number 34 for Walter Payton and Ricky Williams and academics."
