Offers continue for OT Sands

Since his participation in the Elite College Combine, Boyertown, Pa. offensive tackle Tyler Sands has picked up three offers. Who has sent scholarships to the 6-foot-6, 286-pounder?
"I got one from Connecticut right after and then a couple days ago I picked up one from Virginia in the mail which I wasn't expecting," he said. "That night, I got another one from Georgia Tech.

"I'm definitely excited about all of them. I've been to Virginia and love it there and am looking forward to a trip to Georgia Tech in the near future in June. I've heard it's a great program and school."
Are any schools leading for the Keystone State lineman?
"Not really," he stated. "I'm trying to stick to my philosophy of weighing all my options and doing research. I've got to decide on my major that'll be a big factor. I haven't decided, but I'm interested in communications and engineering."
Meanwhile, a couple other schools could be close to offering too.
"I know that Boston College is coming to visit me this week with coach Jags," he stated. "Then I'm also looking to possibly attend camp at Penn State and maybe something will come out of that."
This week Sands plans to attend the Nike Camp at Rutgers.
Sands finished by reflecting on his experience at the Elite.
"I definitely had a great time," he said. "It was fun to go against some big competition and I love the way it turned out. I felt like I did a great job.
"I think what helped was that I got as many reps as I could. I think I did it 30 to 35 times and if I got beat I jumped back in and try to do it better with a lot of intensity the next time. I think that impressed people."
