Offers continue for four-star Thigpen

Four-star cornerback Damien Thigpen out of Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson is compiling offers. The 5-foot-8, 170-pounder added two more offers in the past couple weeks, both from the Big East.
"I got an offer from West Virginia in the last couple days and Connecticut last week," he said. "All of the schools that have offered are great offers. I'm considering all of them. I'm looking up information on each.

"Each one sticks out to me. Stanford of course is a great educational opportunity, Connecticut is a good school and then West Virginia is one of the top programs in the country. That should open me up for even more offers."
Lots of other schools including Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida, Michigan and Virginia are in contact.
"They all think I'm an explosive running back and would like to see me with the ball in space, stuff like that."
Currently the Commonwealth prospect hasn't scheduled any visits.
"I'm planning to go to some places, but I've got to talk to my dad about it."
It's still early in the process and Thigpen is far from a favorite. He instead touched on what he wants in a school.
"Of course I want a school with an elite football program and somewhere that has high standards of learning," he said. "I'd also like to run track, so I want a school with a pretty good track team."
One major question still up in the air is position.
"A lot of schools are recruiting me as a running back, but some are looking at athlete or cornerback," he said. "I like running back, but it's early and I'm not totally sure yet on where I want to play."
Recently Thigpen won the district in the 55 meter for track and will be heading to regionals in the near future.
