2009 Rivals100 quarterback Kevin Newsome out of Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch continues to roll up offers. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is up to seven scholarships according to his father.
"He got offers recently from Stanford and Northwestern," his father Kevin Newsome Sr. said. "He was really excited about the Stanford one. We got an opportunity to visit out there for their last game of the season and it was a beautiful campus. The main thing is the level of education which is tops.
"Northwestern is academically at such a high level too. Of course, he was excited about that one too. There's a whole lot of opportunity at Northwestern and they are looking to really start throwing the ball."

"It just depends on the opportunity for Kevin," he said. "It's not only playing opportunity by academic opportunity and if they'll really use Kevin."
At this time, the four-star prospect hasn't scheduled any junior day visits.
"We've gotten offers from quite a few places and unfortunately with district and regional track meets coming we haven't decided on any yet, but probably over the next few weeks."
